Have you ever seen a homosexual male represented in the media? The answer is probably yes; there are many examples of male homosexuals in today’s media featured in shows like Glee, Will & Grace, Modern Family. Do you notice how homosexual males speak in these instances? Do they speak like heterosexual males? While much of the media tries to display this group as “politically correct,” they feature stereotypes about homosexual male speech patterns such as lisps, effeminate voices, and homo-social behavior that does not correlate to the homo-social behavior we would see represented via a football team or a college fraternity.
